On November 11, 2016, the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention published “Epilepsy Among Iraq and Afghanistan War Veterans- United States, 2002-2015.”  This study compared the comorbidity and mortality rates of Iraq and Afghanistan U.S. War Veterans with epilepsy to those without epilepsy between 2011-2015 and found that veterans with epilepsy were 2.6 times more likely to die.  For more information on CDC’s resources for veterans with epilepsy, please click here.
